Transition

At Offmore Primary, we understand that starting Reception or moving into Year 1 can be both exciting and unsettling for families. Our approach to transition is designed to help children feel safe, confident and ready to thrive in the next step. We work closely with parents and carers to share clear information about routines, expectations and what children can look forward to, while also supporting them through gradual introductions and familiar faces. We provide opportunities for children to visit and become familiar with the classroom environment, helping to reduce uncertainty. Throughout the process, our Early Years team will be available to answer questions and offer reassurance, so you feel supported at every stage.
