At Offmore Primary school, we strongly believe that if our children are to become confident adults in an ever changing and evolving world they need to have developed independent thinking and learning skills and have a secure understanding of how to use these skills effectively.
When children have a strong emotional connection with their learning and desire to succeed they can amaze us all with their achievements. To enable this in all our children we develop a desire to understand and take risk, build strong peer support and develop the ability to reflect and ask questions. Fundamentally we learn together and challenge each other to challenge ourselves and test our thinking. “Mistakes” is a reference referring to errors rather than an opportunity to learn and progress. We focus on these moments as integral to success, enabling us to refine, develop and improve.
Using a wide range of information from the children, assessment information and the next learning steps we are able to ensure that new topics are designed to meet the needs of all our children. This approach enables excitement throughout the journey as we work so closely with our children to meet their needs.
